Powerbox ECDD Series Named Silver Honoree in 2026 Military + Aerospace Electronics Innovators Awards
News
Powerbox is proud to announce that its ECDD Series DC/DC Converter has been named a Silver Honoree in the 2026 Military + Aerospace Electronics Innovators Awards, recognizing innovative technologies and engineering solutions for defense and aerospace applications.
Organized by Military + Aerospace Electronics, the annual awards recognize technologies that contribute to advancements in the industry. Honorees are selected based on recommendations from an independent panel of industry judges.
Recognizing engineering innovation
The ECDD Series was developed to address a common challenge in military vehicles, particularly those using 28 VDC electrical systems: maintaining reliable power when input voltage becomes unstable.
Voltage dips during engine cranking, load changes and electrical transients can cause system resets and interruptions to critical onboard electronics.
The ECDD Series addresses these challenges through an integrated, ruggedized DC/DC power platform. One of its key design advantages is the ability to meet MIL-STD-1275 D/E/F vehicle power requirements without additional external filtering or protection components, helping to reduce system complexity, integration time and engineering effort.
Available in 250 W and 350 W versions, the series combines wide input voltage tolerance with a sealed IP65 enclosure and fanless, conduction-cooled design. These capabilities support reliable operation in applications where electrical stability, thermal management and mechanical durability are essential.
The Silver Honoree recognition highlights Powerbox’s engineering capabilities and its continued focus on developing reliable power conversion solutions that address real customer challenges.
