Powerbox (PRBX), one of Europe’s leading providers of advanced power solutions, today announced that its parent company, Cosel Co., Ltd., has signed an agreement to transfer ownership of Powerbox Group to Hypax.
Hypax is a Berlin- and London-based private equity investment firm specializing in corporate carve-outs and the development of engineering and technology companies. As an operationally engaged investor, Hypax partners with businesses transitioning to independent ownership, supporting them with strategic focus, operational improvement and long-term value creation.
Powerbox has continued to strengthen its position in advanced power solutions for demanding industrial, medical, transportation, and defense applications. This progress is particularly evident in its latest innovations in high-performance power solutions for defense and mission-critical applications, an area of increasing strategic importance for the company. The planned ownership transition marks a significant milestone in the company’s continued development and positions Powerbox to accelerate its growth as a focused, independent business.
The company’s operations, customer commitments and business activities will continue as normal throughout the process. Customers, partners and suppliers should expect no immediate changes to operations, contacts or support.
The transaction is expected to close following customary approvals and completion processes. Further information will be shared once additional details can be communicated.
